MZ Fairtlough was born in rural England, raised in Rome, and now lives in Philadelphia. She writes about the immigrant experience, science, and family life. Her credits include short stories and creative nonfiction in the online arts magazine La Piccioletta Barca, and a self-published collection of family legends called Love, War, and Ice Cream. She has completed her first novel, Zoldana, a coming of age story set on the Italian Front of the Great War. When not frantically reading and writing, she is tending to her family and garden, and consulting on communications.
