Miranda Beeson is a winner of Palette Poetry's 2019 Spotlight Award, and a recipient of the Jody Donohue Poetry Prize. Her poems appear all over, including Barrow Street, The Southampton Review, The Laurel Review, & Melville House's Poetry After 9-11: An Anthology of New York Poets. She is the author of the chapbook Ode to the Unexpected from Peter Cameron's Shrinking Violet Press, and the monograph, Salt Meadow. A recipient of NYSCA grants for teaching a generation of young poets (K-12), she now teaches undergraduate creative writing & literature at Stony Brook University. Her current manuscript WILDLIFE, is in circulation for publication. She received her MFA from Stony Brook Southampton.
