Joann Deiudicibus is the Staff Assistant for the Composition Program and an Adjunct Instructor at The State University of New York, College at New Paltz, where she earned her MA in English (2003). She is the Associate Editor (poetry) for WaterWrites: A Hudson River Anthology, a collection celebrating the Hudson 400 (Codhill Press). Her poems have appeared in A Slant of Light: Contemporary Women Writers of the Hudson Valley (Codhill Press), Chronogram and The Shawangunk Review. Joann read her work at the 2003 Woodstock Poetry Festival. Her research interests include creativity and composition, and 20th century American poetry, particularly the work of Anne Sexton. Joann’s article Axing the Frozen Sea: Female Inscriptions of Madness was included in the anthology Affective (Dis)order and the Writing Life: The Melancholic Muse (Palgrave Macmillan 2013).
