Federico Escobar grew up in Cali, Colombia. After living and studying in New Orleans, Oxford and Jerusalem, he spent most of the past decade in Puerto Rico—Hurricane María included. Federico's short stories and poems have been published in Tulane Review, Stone's Throw Magazine, HermanoCerdo, and forthcoming in Passengers Journal. He works in education.
